COVID 19 Updates
As you know, many federal COVID-19 mandates have changed. As information continues to evolve, so do our policies here at Knox. Knox’s COVID-19 policies as of September 1, 2023 are below.
Vaccinations
Knox College strongly encourages all students, faculty and staff to be fully up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations and annual flu shots, including booster doses when eligible. Vaccines are available at local pharmacies. Although the COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine are not required, we know it is effective in reducing severity of symptoms, mitigating the spread of the virus and preserving health care resources.
Masks
We will continue to have an indoor mask optional policy for all campus spaces. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends masking as an important tool in preventing the transmission of COVID-19.
If you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms or any other respiratory illnesses, you should wear a mask.
Always be respectful of those who choose to wear masks to protect themselves or others.
Testing
Symptomatic testing will be available at Health Services located at 175 W Knox St. via antigen home tests. These tests are free of charge to Knox community members.
Isolation
Community members who test positive should isolate according to CDC guidance. Students who test positive should contact Health Services at health@knox.edu and employees should contact Human Resources at hr@knox.edu.
