Douglas L. Wilson, co-director of the Lincoln Studies Center at Knox College, has won the 2006 Lincoln Prize for his book, Lincoln's Sword: The Presidency and the Power of Words (Knopf). Acclaimed by both critics and historians, Lincoln's Sword explores Lincoln's presidential writing, providing a window onto his presidency and a key to his accomplishments. Through a variety of activities—including research, publications, public events, lectures, conferences and classroom instruction—the Center seeks to broaden the understanding of Lincoln and his legacy.
