May 2008 Dear Friends, Spring has sprung! Take a look at some of the Flunk Day snapshots from May 1. We're doing our own version of spring cleaning at Knox. Crews are hard at work on the former Knox Bowl, which will be renamed the Knosher Bowl upon completion of the project. Memorial Gym is getting a facelift and new bleachers. The Old Main Roof Project is moving along and we anticipate the completion of the project by Commencement. Look for the brand new "copper top" bell tower on your way into Galesburg! Speaking of Commencement, we look forward to sending off our latest class of Knox graduates. Commencement will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 and we will welcome former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to Knox as this year's Commencement speaker. We have updated the Important Dates for you and your student for spring term. And, as always, if you would like to speak with a current Knox parent, please contact a member of the Parents Association Steering Committee. They would be happy to talk to you about their personal experience at Knox, as well as that of their son or daughter. We hope to see you on campus very soon!
