Knox Early College offers high-achieving high school seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while taking courses in subjects not otherwise available in high school—astronomy, biochemistry, Chinese, Japanese, or philosophy, for example—or to pursue higher levels of study in fields such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, or Spanish.
In the Knox Early College program, you’ll take college-level classes on the Knox College campus, learning alongside a world-class faculty of scholars and researchers and bright, talented students of diverse backgrounds from across the country and around the world.
Admission to the Knox College Early College program is competitive, and space is limited. To be considered, we must receive the following:
Fall Term: September 11 – November 19
Winter Term: January 3 – March 12
Spring Term: March 27 – June 4
Knox’s standard class periods are 70 minutes long:
Period 1: 8:00 – 9:10 a.m.
Period 2: 9:20 – 10:30 a.m.
Period 3: 10:40 – 11:50 a.m.
Period 4: 12:00 – 1:10 p.m.
Period 5: 1:20 – 2:30 p.m.
Period 6: 2:40 – 3:50 p.m.
