Blossoming trees around campus.

Our physical offices and campus are closed for now, but the College continues to function—albeit from remote locations. We’re available to assist you during our regular hours, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Central Time), Monday - Friday. You'll find our contact information here.

We still plan to have two Summer Open Houses and hope to offer in-person, individual visits again in early summer. The Air & Rail Travel Reimbursement program will begin again in September.

In the meantime, we invite you to engage with us—virtually! Take a virtual tour, schedule a virtual meeting with your admission counselor, talk directly with current students online. We’ll be adding more and more ways to connect with us over the days ahead. See all the options at

A Knox education is a human-powered experience. So it’s important to visit campus and interact with the people of Knox. Experience everyday life on the campus, explore the community, and get to know the students, professors, and staff who will become a part of your everyday life on campus.

We’re so convinced that you’ll like what you’ll see that we’ll reimburse half of the cost of your airline or train ticket, up to a maximum reimbursement of $300.

How it Works

  1. You must be a high school senior or transfer student who has applied, submitted transcripts, and is eligible for admission to Knox College.
  2. Use your reimbursement for either an individual visit or to attend an Open House or Admitted Student Day event during the academic year (September through April).
  3. Schedule your visit through the Office of Admission at least 14 days in advance at
  4. One travel reimbursement is available per student. Family members are welcome to accompany you at their own expense.
  5. To receive reimbursement, you must submit an original receipt for your ticket at the time of your visit. A reimbursement check will be mailed to you with 3-5 weeks after your visit.

Other Things to Consider

  1. It’s always best if you can visit when classes are in session, avoiding breaks and exam periods. Consult our academic calendar as you make your plans.
  2. Depending on the timing of your visit, we’re happy to arrange meetings with professors, coaches, and pre-professional advisors, as well as opportunities to observe classes, interact with current students, and have a meal or two in the dining halls. Just let us know what’s important to you when you complete your visit reservation form.
  3. Overnight accommodations will be postponed until after May 4.
  4. If you are traveling alone and need us to provide transportation to or from a local airport or train station, please discuss your travel plans with our campus visit coordinator before purchasing your ticket.
