Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove came to campus to read her poetry as part of a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of Knox's Program in Creative Writing.

The Knox Equestrian Club was at the Earth Day Festival

Knox celebrated Earth Month throughout April with a 5K Fun Run, an Earth Day Festival, an EquiKnox lecture, and other events focused on sustainability.

  • Emma Newman took a gap year before coming to Knox, working at a museum in California then traveling throughout Central America. She's majoring in anthropology and sociology.

  • Sam Tatum is from Atlanta, Georgia. He is captain of the men's soccer team and changed his major from English literature to psychology.

  • Quinn Broda (from Oak Park, Illinois) is an elementary education major who traveled to the Navajo Nation Reservation with Knox faculty for a two-week teaching residency.

Student spotlight: Naja Woods '18

As point guard on the Prairie Fire women's basketball team and a lifelong athlete, junior Naja Woods has learned to be a leader and play through adversity, both on an off the court. She finds a strong support system at Knox through her friends and as a member of Allied Blacks for Liberty & Equality (ABLE).
