The Office of Sustainability was created in 2012 when Knox College hired its first sustainability coordinator. Now, the Office of Sustainability is managed by the Director and Assistant Director of Sustainability and Resilience Initiatives, with the support of dedicated student employees and volunteers. We lead cross-campus collaborative efforts to institutionalize sustainability at Knox by reducing waste and managing it as a resource, reducing our energy consumption, growing local food, and sharing resources. The Office of Sustainability is open to students, staff, and faculty. We are here to answer questions and help you design and implement socially and environmentally responsible events, programs, and ideas.
