Faculty mentors will be consulted throughout the HORIZONS registration and submission process. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Faculty mentors will receive an email notification if a student has registered and has listed you as their mentor. At that time, you will be asked to approve their project. Your approval indicates that you are familiar with the project and you are comfortable with the student presenting the topic at HORIZONS. Please respond by April 10 with your approval (but earlier is better).
  • Follow along with the event timeline to stay up-to-date on deadlines 
  • We encourage you to discuss poster/presentation design with your student, especially if this is their first presentation experience. Encourage students to make a drop-in appointment with Lisa Harris, director of the Vovis Center, on April 23 for more presentation support as well.
