Nurse Practitioner
Abby joined Knox College in 2018 as a nurse practitioner and the Director of Health Services. She earned her BSN in 1999 from Culver-Stockton College (Canton, MO) and Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing (Quincy, IL), and her MSN in 2004 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has spent 16 years as a nurse practitioner in family practice, the emergency department, and prompt care settings. She also worked for the University of Illinois at Chicago as adjunct clinical faculty in their family nurse practitioner program. She really enjoys working in the college health setting with the very bright and diverse students at Knox.
Abby lives outside of Knoxville with her husband and their three teenagers. They enjoy spending a lot of time doing outdoor activities like camping and mushroom hunting. They have two dogs, a min pin named Grace, and a huskador named Ted.
