Welcome our new Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Ole Forsberg! Please give Ole a warm welcome.

In addition to being the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Ole J. Forsberg is an Associate Professor of Mathematics-Statistics and chair of both the Statistics and the Data Science programs at Knox College of Illinois. His research focuses on using statistical techniques to better understand elections, from properly presenting and interpreting poll results to testing elections for evidence of unfairness. His second book, Understanding Elections through Statistics is published with CRC Press. He teaches courses on mathematics, statistics, and the journalism of polling. Ole received his first PhD from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in Political Science, and his second from Oklahoma State University in Statistics. He is a fan of the Portland Timbers and of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
