Community service is a long-standing tradition at Knox College, one that students, staff, and faculty engage in enthusiastically.
All Knox students receive e-mail listings or mail postings throughout the year detailing upcoming volunteer opportunities. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

All volunteer programs involving work with children require that Knox volunteers be certified mandated reporters with the Department of Child and Family Services. Certification is a quick process you can do at home! Please see our certification guide.
Some volunteer programs require students to attend an orientation and fill out an application. In a few cases, our partners perform background checks or conduct interviews. The Center will always include information about these requirements.
It is an objective of the Kleine Center to accurately record the number of all community service hours performed by the College in a year. You can help us achieve that goal! If you are the leader of a club or organization that sponsored, hosted, or helped out with a community service event, please fill out this form!
Many of our volunteer partners are located within easy walking distance from the College. In other cases the Center provides bus transportation for volunteers who make long-term commitments to our programs.
