The Office of Academic Assessment at Knox College engages in the systematic, cyclical, and on-going process of gathering, analyzing, and using information about educational programs and student learning outcomes to improve student learning in light of our core educational mission and goals.
Assessment activities are supported by the Assessment Subcommittee of the Curriculum Committee and the Director of Assessment. The Assessment Subcommittee is responsible for developing and implementing a faculty-led assessment program to improve learning and teaching at Knox College and to promoting and participating in a culture of assessment for educational improvement. The Assessment Subcommittee works in cooperation with the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) in all matters relating to assessment of student learning and provides guidance and support for OIRA's responsibilities, which include:
