Work History
Prior to working at Knox, Laura worked at Carl Sandburg College as a counselor/retention coordinator for the TRIO Student Support Services program and taught psychology part-time. Outside of higher education, Laura has experience as a human resources and marketing manager for a timber frame construction and restoration company, as well as time spent in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Personal Interests

Laura enjoys spending time with her two children, family, and friends. Teaching and practicing yoga, therapeutic horseback riding, and enjoying the outdoors are her passionate pursuits. Interests in sustainability and wellness inspire her holistic approach to student development.
