Along with a throng of news media photographers, Knox College also covered the visit of President Barack Obama. Photography by Peter Bailley of the Knox College Communications Office and Michael Godsil, who teaches photography and photojournalism at Knox, with additional photos contributed by Galesburg art teacher and photographer Rich Ankeney.
Dozens of Knox College students, faculty and staff served as volunteers, seating guests, giving out water in the audience, distributing tickets and assisting with the innumerable details of planning and presentation involved in a presidential visit. Some Knox staff began working as far as a week in advance to prepare campus. A few of their efforts are recorded in a Flickr gallery.
More photos by Jamie Jones of the Communications Office and Kayleigh O'Brien '16, a student worker in the Communications Office, are posted on Knox's Facebook page.
