This is the third consecutive regular-season championship for the women’s team, which will be playing in the conference tournament for the fourth straight year. The women’s team has compiled a record of 15-4-2 overall and 8-1-0 in the conference.

“I think Knox is a place that lends itself to quality soccer players coming in,” said Head Women’s Soccer Coach Chris Haught-Thompson. “I'm so proud of our players for working so hard to do what we've done, but to also allow this to be a program that quality soccer players want to be a part of.”

The men’s team has compiled a record of 14-4-1 overall and 8-1-0 in the conference. The Prairie Fire will play Cornell in a semi-final match in the Midwest Conference Tournament at St. Norbert on Friday, November 2 at 1:30. This will be the sixth consecutive conference tournament appearance by the men’s team.

Head Men’s Soccer Coach Brian O’Connor said, “Winning attracts talent and helps keep a steady stream of high-quality student-athletes coming to Knox. The credit goes to our student-athletes.”

Both coaches also said that some of the credit for the teams’ success should go to the Knox College administration, which encourages soccer to thrive by supporting initiatives such as the recent renovation of Jorge Prats Field.
