Meet the Office of Communications
We are a team of award-winning professionals and student employees with marketing and communications experience both in higher education and beyond. We love Knox, we love what we do, and we like to have fun, too!
Megan Scott ’96
Vice President for Communications
Megan Scott has spent nearly her entire career supporting the goals and strategies of mission-driven organizations. Over the course of her career, she has served as a member of two senior administrations and worked closely with presidents, vice presidents, and boards to support and promote the transformative power of a liberal arts education. Scott has supported fundraising campaigns and academic initiatives, spearheaded two website redesigns, and oversaw the introduction of new athletics logos and mascots, among other initiatives, and has received several awards for her work. Scott graduated from Knox College magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature and holds a certificate in publishing from the University of Denver Publishing Institute.
Steve Davis
Visual Media Specialist (Photographer)
As the father of an alum, and the son of a long-time employee, I'm proud to work with the amazing team in the Office of Communications. After serving as the Photo Editor of the Galesburg Register-Mail for 8+ years, I'm excited to capture life at Knox, and share the accomplishments of our students and campus community!
Sarah Dean
Director of Digital Initiatives
I have been at Knox College in the Office of Communications since 2019. Knox has always been part of my life due to the many years my mother has worked here, and I am very excited to be part of such a wonderful team.
Scott Holland
College Media Specialist
My name is Scott Holland. I joined the Knox College Office of Communications staff in April 2025 as the College Media Specialist.
I am very excited to be here and look forward to telling the stories of all things Knox College. This is a special place and I can’t wait to learn and share your stories.
Ami Jontz
Senior Designer
I have close to 25 years of experience as a graphic designer, working at Knox since 2000. I like the variety of projects that working at a college offers. I mean, who wouldn't love starting their day designing a magazine layout and ending it by helping piece together a new display for the athletic building?! Even though I'm a creative type, I'm a computer geek at heart and find it very rewarding when I can figure out solutions to technical problems with software and layouts. (I do have to admit that Google is my best friend.)
I consider myself lucky that I get to work with a group of such fun and creative people.
Paige McKinney
Junior Graphic Designer
I'm a graphic designer and illustrator with 10 years of experience and am so happy to have joined the awesome Communications team at Knox! In my career I've worked for large corporations and small businesses in the consumer goods and apparel industry, but the projects that bring me the most joy are things that make a difference for everyday people. I hope I can bring the joy and passion I have for my craft to the students and faculty at Knox to make their stay on campus just a bit brighter!
Dakota Pruemer
Video Content Creator and Storyteller
I started my position at Knox in September of 2021. My focus is to create engaging, high production video content for the College. Being able to tell the stories of various faculty, staff, alumni, and current students is a highlight of this position for me. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts. I am fortunate to have a career in two areas I love—video production and higher education.
Sherri Rader
Web Content Manager
I graduated with a degree in English from a small, private liberal arts college. I’m excited to be part of a team that highlights everything I love about Knox College—its friendly students, beautiful campus, and strong history.
I joined Knox in 2024 with twenty plus years of experience in marketing and communications, including twelve years in higher education.
