Knox is Named a 2019 "Best College Value" by Kiplinger's Magazine
For the 12th consecutive year, Knox College has been selected as a “Best College Value” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine.
In compiling the rankings, the magazine considered about 1,200 four-year colleges and universities, ultimately naming 400 institutions to its best values list. Knox ranked 179th overall and 88th among liberal arts colleges.
“All the schools on our list meet our definition of value: a high-quality education at an affordable price. We start by analyzing academic measures, including the student-to-faculty ratio, the test scores of incoming freshmen, and the percentage of students who return for sophomore year,” according to an article in Kiplinger’s about the rankings.
“On the monetary side," the article added, "we look for schools with affordable sticker prices, generous financial aid and low student debt at graduation.”
