For the eighth year in a row, Knox College has been selected by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine as one of the top colleges in the nation for both outstanding academics and affordability. Knox is ranked 64th among the top 100 liberal arts colleges on the Kiplinger's list of the Best College Values for 2015.

Kiplinger's criteria include the academic quality of the student body, graduation rate, faculty-student ratio and level of financial aid. Knox has been ranked in Kiplinger's top 100 private liberal arts colleges every year since 2008; this year's listing now includes both public and private liberal arts colleges.

Knox is one of only five liberal arts colleges in Illinois to make Kiplinger's top 100 this year.

"We salute this year's top schools," said Janet Bodnar, editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine. "Balancing top-quality education with affordable cost is a challenge for families in today's economy." Knox and the other schools on the top 100 list "offer students the best of both worlds," Bodnar said.

"Knox's consistent ranking in the Kiplinger's top 100 shows that students and families continue to find what they are looking for at Knox -- top notch academic quality at a reasonable cost," said Paul Steenis, dean of admission.

This isn't the first time that Knox has been ranked as a "Best Value." U.S. News & World Report found Knox to be one of the nation's "Great Schools at a Great Price," ranking Knox 39th among national liberal arts colleges in the category that recognizes schools with top reputations for both academic excellence and affordability. Knox was also ranked an "Affordable Elite College" and a college that gives students the "Best Bang for the Buck" by Washington Monthly.
