Four Reasons Attend Knox Homecoming

Knox Homecoming Welcomes Parents, Families, Alumni, and Friends to Campus October 22-25, 2026

The 2026 Knox College Homecoming is almost here, and campus will be filled soon with many campus visitors. Everyone is welcome at a Knox Homecoming, as it celebrates parents and families, Reunion years, along with alumni and friends! From October 22–25, there will be more than 100 events, activities, and opportunities to reconnect, celebrate, and make new memories.

There are plenty of reasons to look forward to Homecoming, but here are a few highlights you won’t want to miss!

#1 Big Events

With more than 100 events happening throughout Homecoming weekend, there is something for everyone. You can find the full schedule on the Knox website, but here are five events we don’t think you’ll want to miss:

  • Celebrate Knox: Join family and friends on Friday evening for music, photo opportunities, and plenty of Knox spirit. It's the perfect place to celebrate the people who make Knox feel like home.
  • Knox Today: Get an inside look on Saturday morning at the people, ideas, and initiatives shaping Knox today. Hear from senior leaders about the College's current momentum, future aspirations, and the opportunities that await Knox students. Bring your questions and join the conversation as we explore what it means to Venture Boldly together.
  • Alumni Reunion Parade: That’s right—we said a parade! All Reunion class years are invited to this brand new event! Gather your classmates and join us for a mini parade as we process from Knox Today to Convocation!
  • Athletic Matches and Tasty Treats: Saturday afternoon is all about the Prairie Fire with tailgating, food trucks, and athletic events. You won’t want to miss the football team take on Lawrence University in the Knosher Bowl, or our men’s and women’s soccer teams play Monmouth College at Prats field! You can even enjoy freshly made food at a large selection of food trucks!
  • S’more Send-Off: We have s’mores! Spend Saturday evening celebrating new memories, lasting friendships, and an unforgettable Homecoming Weekend with live music, hot chocolate, cider, pumpkin decorating, lawn games, and plenty of fireside fun!

#2 The World Needs More Purple and Gold

Need a little more Knox spirit in your wardrobe? The on-campus Knox Shop has stocked up on amazing new items that everyone needs, and they will be open all weekend! Looking for something specific for Homecoming before you get to campus? Then check out the 2026 Homecoming signature line at the Knox online shop.

#3 Celebrate & Connect

Homecoming is the chance for alumni to catch up with old friends and classmates, for parents and families to spend time with their students, and for the entire Knox community to come together. It’s the perfect time to have those meaningful conversations and spend time together at any of the great events during the weekend!

#4 Explore Campus

It’s your time to rediscover Knox. Whether you are a parent or friend of a student, are a returning alum for your fiftieth Reunion, or just graduated last year, Homecoming is the perfect time to explore campus again. Tour the observatory, eat a patty melt on the Gizmo Patio, walk the steps of Old Main…the possibilities are endless!

Whatever your reason for coming to the 2026 Knox College Homecoming, it’s the right one! Don’t forget to register before you arrive, and remember to have fun! We will see everyone on October 22-25!
