Bike mechanic, lifeguard, tour ambassador, teaching assistant—many on-campus jobs are available for students who would like to work up to 10 hours each week. Priority is given to students with Federal Work Study or Campus awards, but any student interested in working on campus can apply. Not sure if you have a work award? Contact the Office of Student Financial Services at 309-341-7149.

You apply for positions through the career services platform Handshake. You will receive an email with information on how to access your account. Once you access the app, you can view available jobs and submit an application.

At orientation, staff will be available to help students with the forms needed to work at Knox. Per State and Federal requirements, original identifying documents are required to be presented in person to complete the required employment forms. Copies cannot be accepted. You will not be allowed to start working until this has been completed, so make sure you bring these documents to campus with you. You will find a list of appropriate identification  here Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification (PDF).
