New Student Orientation

Hi, new students!

Through our New Student Orientation, we welcome you to campus and introduce you to our larger Knox community. By the end of that week, we hope you've had the chance to:

• meet future classmates, faculty, and staff
• learn how to navigate the campus
• understand how learning happens at Knox
• explore the city of Galesburg

The complete schedule of events for new student orientation will be available very soon. In the meantime, here are some details to help you plan:

• New Student Orientation begins Thursday, September 8 and runs through Sunday, September 11.
• Check-in for new students who have not already arrived on campus is from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, at the T. Fleming Fieldhouse, where you will pick up residence hall keys and check-in materials. From there, you will move into your residence hall.
• In addition to the events and programs planned for new students, there are events scheduled on move-in day Thursday, September 8 for family and friends. The programs planned for the afternoon include sessions with key admininistrators. There will be times for goodbyes around 3:30pm before students begin their Knox journey. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception hosted by President C. Andrew McGadney after the students head off with their Orientaton Leader.
