Living on campus is one of the most important aspects of your four years at Knox. Learning to live and work with peers who have diverse experiences is at the heart of a liberal arts education. Along the way, members of the Campus Life Office team and your Resident Assistant (RA) will be available to help you build meaningful relationships with your suitemates.
Your RA is a student who lives in your residence hall and will be there to support you as a resource and friend whose goal is to maintain a safe, comfortable living and learning environment. You will receive a welcome email from your RA in the coming weeks.
To find the names of your roommate and suitemates, you will need to log into your MyHousing Portal using your Knox credentials. Here are instructions on how to log into the portal. The instructions also show you how to submit your Housing Agreement form and what to do if you have trouble logging into the portal.
You will notice in your MyHousing Portal that your Check In date is September 9. This is the first day of New Student Orientation. Fall student-athletes and students participating in SPARK, TRIO, or the International Pre-Orientation Program will arrive prior to September 9. See all move-in dates for fall term.
It's a good idea to contact your roommate before you arrive on campus so you can decide on what items each of you should bring. See the list of things you should (and shouldn't) bring to campus. To help you plan your new living space, view room and suite measurements.
Residential living and learning will be important parts of your education at Knox. Our goal is to build and maintain an intellectual and social environment that fosters academic growth and success.
