Typically, Senior Challenge is a fundraising effort to support a particular initiative chosen by members of the graduating class. With finances strained by the ongoing pandemic, however, this year’s organizers offered seniors the opportunity to give back by writing a letter to someone at Knox who had a positive impact on their time on campus, send a note of encouragement and support to a younger student, or jot down their thoughts on the Knox experience to share with an incoming member of the Class of 2024. While the majority of participants still opted to make a financial gift to Knox, raising $2,152, the initiative also resulted in 36 letters to faculty and staff, 23 letters to current students, 23 letters to incoming first-year students, and 10 letters thanking other donors.

The campus leaders for this remarkable Senior Challenge were Class President Courtney Pletcher, Class Secretary/Treasurer Amanda Espinosa, Natasha Caudill, and Allen Irvine. Thanks to them and to everyone who participated. You make us #KnoxProud!
