Dear {{preferred}},
Where you live is one of the most important parts of your college experience. Your four years living on campus will provide you with opportunities to develop new friendships and skills and to learn about new ideas, beliefs, and cultures within a caring community atmosphere. Living on campus also provides unique opportunities for interpersonal learning and growth as you live, study, and engage with the rest of the campus community.
To help us make the best roommate match possible, fill out a Housing and First Year Preceptorial (FP) Preference Form on your Pre-Arrival Tracker. The form asks a number of questions and your answers will assist us in making your assignment. Please be as honest as possible when completing this form.
If you are a first-year student (or a transfer student with less than one year of college credit), the form will also ask you to choose your First-Year Preceptorial (FP) course preferences.
The Housing and First-year Preceptorial Preference Form is due on June 1. In early July, you will receive notification of your housing assignment and the name and contact information for your roommate. Your Resident Assistant will also contact you in July with more information about your suite.
If you have questions about the Housing and First-year Preceptorial Preference Form, you can also email us at campuslife@knox.edu or feel free to call the Campus Life Office at 309-341-7527.
I look forward to seeing you on campus this fall!
Jacob McLean Assistant Dean for Campus Life
