Living on campus is one of the most important aspects of your time at Knox. Learning to live and work with peers who have diverse experiences is at the heart of a liberal arts education. Along the way, members of the Campus Life Office team and your Resident Assistant (RA) will be available to help you build meaningful relationships with your suitemates.
So, let’s get you ready to move in! Here’s what you need to do:
Monitor your email for a welcome from your RA: Your RA is a student who lives in your residence hall and will be there to support you as a resource and friend whose goal is to maintain a safe, comfortable living and learning environment. You will receive a welcome email from your RA in the coming weeks.
Log into your MyHousing Portal: Here are instructions on how to log into the portal. The instructions also show you how to submit your Housing Agreement form and what to do if you encounter access issues. As you log into your MyHousing Portal, look for these key pieces of information:
- Check-in date: The standard move-in date is Thursday, September 7. However, international students arriving for pre-orientation, student-athletes, and students in the TRIO program should plan on earlier move-in dates. Refer to our Important Dates page as you plan your arrival on campus.
- Roommates and suitemates: Find the names of your roommates and suitemates. We encourage you to contact each other, so you can decide on what items each of you should bring.
Check out these resources as you connect with your roommates:
Residential living and learning will be important parts of your education at Knox. Our goal is to build and maintain an intellectual and social environment that fosters academic growth and success.
I look forward to seeing you on campus this fall!
