Medha Deoras-Sutliff ’88 was recently featured in the fall 2020 issue of Cancer Today about her journey from epidemiologist to breast cancer survivor to advocate. As the executive director of the EHE Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at treating epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a rare type of blood vessel tumor, she has been instrumental in driving efforts to understand how the cancer develops and to evaluate new therapies for fighting it.
Derek Bell ’94 has been named the 2020 Coach of Significance for the state of Wisconsin by the United Soccer Coaches Association. In addition to his work as a wellness strategy leader in the Ascension healthcare system, he has served as the head coach of the Stevens Point Area Senior High School men’s soccer team since 2017.

Pocket Theatre VR is a new theatre organization founded by Theresa Murphy ’17, Erin Yu ’20, Ren Barkey ’18, and current Knox student Marion Frank in response to the impact of the pandemic on live productions. The group stages its productions as immersive videos that transcend the dimensions of the screen through virtual reality. Productions are offered free to the public, and virtual reality headsets can be purchased for as little as $10. Watch their first production, Eye Contact, written by Joel Willison ’20.
