A Cappella, Online

Thomas Clark, voice instructor and director of Knox a cappella groups Enharmonic Fire and TriTones, has discovered that teaching voice virtually can be even more effective than in-person instruction.

Long-Distance Dancing

Professor Jennifer Smith shares two new collaborations from students. “Dancing Alone Together” features solo performances that have been knitted together into a single piece. “The Exquisite Corps Project” was created by each dancer adding 30 seconds of choreography to what eventually grew to a six-minute performance.

Knox Professor on “Making School Integration Work”

Assistant Professor of Educational Studies Deirdre Dougherty recently co-authored “Making School Integration Work,” a look at how two school districts were merged into a single district to increase the diversity of its student population.

Keeping big secrets is part of the spirit of Flunk Day/Week—and the Knox College Choir has a doozy. Throughout spring term, each member individually recorded their own part of Paul Mealor’s “Locus iste” from home (some as far away as Vietnam) to create this spectacular choral performance. It was premiered exclusively for Choir students during Flunk Week, but now it’s available to all of us. Enjoy.
