At Knox, we believe physical and mental wellness can contribute greatly to your academic success. Here’s what Knox offers to ensure a safe and healthy start to your first term:
Health Services - There is no cost per visit for basic on-campus health care, and no limit to the number of visits you can make to the office, which provides basic health care for illness and injuries. All care requires an appointment.
Health Services has a Nurse Practitioner on staff who may act as your primary care physician to help manage existing medication and prescribe medically assessed medications as well as provide immediate medical care.
Counseling Services - Confidential counseling, outreach, and consultations are available to all Knox students, where you can talk with an objective professional about your feelings and concerns. These services are offered free of charge with no limits to the number of visits. All care requires an appointment.
Additionally, you have access to TimelyCare, a virtual mental health resource, at no additional cost for up to 12 appointments beginning June 1 through July 31. All you have to do is register with your Knox email address.
The Office of Disability Support Services - Empowers students with disabilities to fully participate in campus life by providing accommodations, championing innovative resources and programs, and fostering inclusive and sustainable environments for learning and living.
Immunization Records and Insurance
All students are required to complete this Immunization Records form by your primary care physician and uploaded in the Pre-Arrival Tracker before you begin classes. Questions about immunizations? Contact Health Services.
For students who will be under 18 years of age when they arrive at Knox, a parent/guardian consent for treatment is necessary in order for students to be provided care at Health Services. Please print, complete and sign this form and upload it to your Pre-Arrival Tracker as well.
International Students: While Knox College provides free services throughout the academic year such as general medical evaluations, acute care treatment, and reproductive health care, International students can also review this form for additional healthcare coverage purchase options outside of the college.
Domestic Students: Domestic students are encouraged to keep a copy of their parent or guardian’s health insurance information readily available in the event of a medical emergency.
All Knox students are automatically enrolled in an accident insurance plan that provides specified medical benefits if they are accidentally injured on or off campus. While basic health care is available through Health Services, additional medical expenses are your financial responsibility. Knox does not offer plans for students, but we have identified some insurance options.
