At Knox College, we are dedicated to helping students find success both as students and as members of the community. To help address critical life skills such as the prevention of alcohol abuse and sexual misconduct, all incoming students must complete AlcoholEdu, Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates, and Hazing Awareness and Prevention for students. All online courses that make for a more protective and healthier campus community.
You will receive a message from Vector Solutions in the coming days with instructions on how to complete the trainings. Please be sure to check your Spam/Junk folders.
AlcoholEdu for College
Whether you drink or not, this course will empower you to make well-informed decisions about alcohol and help you reflect on and consider drinking related issues.
Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates
Learn about healthy relationships, the importance of consent and being a good communicator, and the many ways you can help create a protective, positive campus of which you want to be a part. At Knox we call this a Culture of Respect.
There are two parts to the online courses. The first part should be completed before you arrive on campus. Thirty days after completion of Part 1, you will receive an invitation to complete Part 2 of both courses.
Hazing Awareness and Prevention for Students
Hazing is a dangerous ritual taking place at institutions and organizations across the country. This course gives students a better understanding about hazing so that they can identify when it’s happening and possibly prevent incidents in the future.
Other Important Information:
- You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
- To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) released within the previous two years.
- You may take the course in multiple sittings.
- The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
