Flunk Day

Perhaps our most popular tradition among students, Flunk Day is a secret day in spring:

• Classes are canceled
• Bells are rung
• Campus turns into a giant festival

All Things Lincoln

We take pride in our history. One of the key figures that represents our story is President Abraham Lincoln. 

One of the most popular spots on campus is the Lincoln Chair room in Old Main where a velvet red chair that Lincoln sat in is available for you to sit in yourself. There is also the historic window of Old Main that Lincoln had to climb through to step onto the debate stage with Douglas.

To this day, you’ll see Lincoln top hats represented in Knox memorabilia and even a Lincoln impersonator who comes annually to the Flunk Day celebration.

International Fair (I-Fair)

International Fair is an annual gathering of food, music, dancing, and singing from around the world, courtesy of our many cultural groups and students from more than 50 countries. 

Sample menu: fried plantains (Ghana), bulgogi (Korea), arepas (Venezuela), mango lassi (India).
