X Journal

X Journal is a student-led annual visual arts publication at Knox College, founded in 2017. The journal showcases a wide range of creative work produced by students across campus, including photography, graphic design, illustration, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and other artistic practices developed during their time at Knox. 

Each year, the student editorial/design team curates and publishes approximately 300–500 magazines, highlighting the diversity of artistic expression within the Knox community.

The journal is produced by a student team and advised by Professor Tim Stedman. X Journal is proud to publish, share, and archive artwork created by Knox students.

Goal of X Journal

  • Curate and showcase a diverse range of visual artworks from the student community each year, celebrating creativity across mediums and fostering a shared appreciation for art
