Equestrian Club Team LogoThe Knox equestrian team is a committed group of riders whose goals are:

  • To practice as a team
  • Broaden our knowledge of horses
  • Improve the abilities of the riders to prepare for the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Associations). Although we do not show every term due to the level of interest the team expresses.

Team members will ride in weekly lessons, which will focus on skills necessary to improve horsemanship skills. Team members can ride either English or western, and are always welcome to switch disciplines-we encourage experiential learning! The team is open to all experience levels, as long as you are committed to learning more about horses and riding!

Meet the Captain: Talia Bossingham

Hello everyone! I am Talia, and welcome to the Knox Equestrian Team web page! I have been participating in formal lessons since I was seven. I ride English, western, dressage, jumping, sidesaddle, bareback and also exercise/race Thoroughbreds! I have shown in various disciplines for about ten years and teach the beginner lessons for the team. We have a more experienced coach who teaches the advanced lessons. No matter what riding experience you may ,or may not have, we are always very excited to have new members join! Please feel free to contact me, or any of our other executive board members, with questions!

Meet the Secretary: Hannah Rae López Tusa

Hello! My name is Hannah Rae López Tusa and I am the team's secretary. I am adopted from Yekaterinburg, Russia, and was raised and lived in Barcelona, Spain, for thirteen years. I currently live in Nashville, TN, with my mom, my dad, and my handsome black Labrador Beau. I started riding at the age of three and I have continued riding since then. I have experience in English, Western, and Dressage riding skills. I am delighted to be part of this team! Here, the team submerse themselves into a world filled with team bonding, horsemanship, and yes, and a little horse nerding! No matter how experienced or inexperienced you are, you are always welcome on this team! Please do not hesitate to ask any questions to me or to our Captain, Talia Bossingham.
