The Entrepreneurship Society

In the spring of 2022, the Business and Economics clubs merged to form the Entrepreneurship Society. 

Our goal is to teach members valuable skills that are necessary to launch and manage a business. Our members will be better prepared to enter the business world after college by learning from experienced entrepreneurs outside of Knox and discussing and practicing important business concepts. Through the Entrepreneurship Society, Knox students will have unique opportunities to learn and be exposed to the business world while still in college. The Entrepreneurship Society is open to anyone who has an interest and passion for entrepreneurship.

Members will have the opportunity to attend a wide variety of events to acquire impactful experiences and pick up new skills. In May 2022, the Society successfully accomplished their first big event: attending TECHSPO--a business tech conference at Soldier Field in Chicago, where we networked with representatives of big corporations such as Verizon and Disney. This is just the first of many events that are planned which allows members to network and learn from other business people. Among these are tours of major nearby companies, Zoom sessions with successful business people, and business competitions which will allow members to test out their Entrepreneurial ideas. These events are crafted to encourage members to better grasp what it means to be an entrepreneur and provide opportunities to realize each member's full potential. 

By joining the Entrepreneurship Society you will...

• Learn how to build your own business through discussions and business competitions and have the opportunity to win prizes
• Attend webinars with experienced business people and travel to business conventions which offer many opportunities to learn from and interact with other prosperous entrepreneurs
• Establish networks with Knox alumni and experienced people in their fields and gaining access to prospective summer programs and internships which will help with getting established in the business world
• And, most importantly, make new friends that will inspire you and grow with you as you get started as a promising young entrepreneur!

Our club has a fun, inclusive environment and we want to make sure that everyone is comfortable speaking and participating. We all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences and worldviews. We all want to learn together.
