Campus Life Office
2 East South Street
Galesburg, IL 61401-4999
As one of the largest departments at Knox, Educational Studies (frequently called "Ed Studies") also offers itself in a campus club to further serve your needs and ambitions.
The club is designed to promote professional behavior among Ed Studies majors within the Knox community and the community of Galesburg as a whole. Last year members attended the Illinois Education Association conference in Bloomington, Illinois, and hosted Galesburg School District administrators to talk about preparing for job fairs and interviews.
The Ed Studies Club also sponsors social events that promote literacy and social justice. For example, the club co-sponsored Break Chains With Love, a partnership that advocates the end of human trafficking. Furthermore, the club has members that participate in Reading Buddies and the Literacy Coalition.
The club also provides an opportunity for you and department faculty to meet outside of class through the annual cookout, where we celebrate the accomplishments of the year and relax before finals.
