Knox has two water polo teams, one women's team and one that is co-ed. The Knox water polo team practices in the Lay Natatorium pool on campus and competes in tournaments around the Midwest, in the Heartland Division, and has competed against such schools as:

  • Grinnell College
  • St. Mary's University
  • St. John's University
  • Macalester College

In the past, the Knox team has finished 10th at the American Collegiate Water Polo Association's national tournament. The team's coach is Jonathan Powers, assistant professor of economics and a former college water polo competitor.

The water polo team at Knox helps students stay focused in both their extracurricular and academic lives and provides a fun, competitive outlet for those interested in the sport.
