The Knosher Bowl is unique: it is one of the few stadiums of its kind in the nation. Home of Prairie Fire football, the Knosher Bowl features artificial turf and boasts one of the best playing surfaces used in NCAA Division III play.

Construction of the original bowl began in 1963 and the first Knox team played in what is now the Knosher Bowl in 1967. Today, Stisser Field at the Knosher Bowl still retains its charm but has an added excitement about it as the $1.8 million project includes an artificial turf surface, new goal posts, new fencing, new gates, and an entry area. The Oberembt Amenities Center was also built and includes: restrooms, concessions, and covered picnic area. The north berm was lowered as well to open it to campus.

The Knosher Bowl has a capacity of 6,000. The home record for attendance was set at Knox's 100th game against Monmouth College (the fourth-oldest rivalry in Division III) when attendance reached the 6,000 mark.
