The historic Gizmo, our campus snack bar, was named in the late 1940s by students who were World War II veterans, and remains a popular gathering place for students, staff and faculty. The Gizmo Patio, once used as an outdoor skating rink, was transformed into a wood covered deck and now a paved brick area furnished with chairs and tables for outside activities and special events. Menus include a variety of hot food from the grill, snacks, sub-sandwiches, combo meals, desserts, an assortment of beverages, and its famous bagel pizza and Prairie Fire Starter breakfast. Luncheon specials are offered Monday through Friday when classes are in session. The Gizmo also hosts dances, club events and bands. Payment options: dining dollars, flex dollars, cash, faculty/staff ID and department charges, Visa, and Master Card.

Students sample organic juices at the annual Earth Week Festival.
