Brazilian singer and guitarist Luciano Antonio returns to Knox to present two free public events at Knox College.
The workshop will show how to play Brazilian percussion instruments, including the drums, shakers and bells. Attendees will have the chance to participate in a traditional Brazilian Batucada, a sub-style of samba drumming. No musical experience or background is required and is open to all ages.
Luciano Antonio's work as a guitarist and singer showcases a contemporary jazz interpretation of traditional Brazilian folk music. A native of rural southern Brazil, he performs throughout the Chicago area and across the country.
