Seymour Library and the Lincoln Studies Center present a free public lecture, Joseph H. Barquet: Civil Rights Agitator, Warrior, and Citizen, by historian Roger D. Bridges, Executive Director emeritus of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont, Ohio and past president of the Abraham Lincoln Association. The lecture is sponsored in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the project "Struggle and Progress: Documenting African-American History in Galesburg, Illinois."
