Students will travel to six cities (Memphis, Birmingham, Montgomery, Selma, Tuskegee and Nashville) visiting historic and memorial locations throughout the 1960's Civil Rights Movement.
In addition to submitting an online application, we require one letter of recommendation from a Knox faculty or staff member. Selected students will also be required to submit a $100 non-refundable deposit that will be used to help support the cost of the trip. A payment plan can be arranged, all deposits must be paid in full by week four of winter term. The trip will take place March 13th-March 18th.
The 14 students chosen to participate will be required to attend a series of five workshops during winter term in preparation for the trip. Additional information is available upon request.
