The main focus of M.E.Ch.A de Knox is to promote culture, history, higher education, and political consciousness within the Chicane/Latine community through student activism. We maintain an intersectional mindset and establish solidarity with other underrepresented groups on a local and national level. We strive to maintain a safe space of Hermanidad for all Chicane/Latine students and allies by hosting events that focus on but are not limited to, the struggles that affect self-identifying Chicane/Latine students. We welcome anyone to our events and meetings who is interested in learning more about our movements and/or becoming an active member of our chapter.
