The exhibition “Knox in New York: Three Decades of Alumi Art” honors the innovative program that was established in 1995 by art professors Lynette Lombard and Tony Gant. This was the first immersive off-campus program offered at Knox College. Through museum and gallery visits and classes at the New York Studio School, students are exposed to the expansive arts scene of New York City. The exhibit showcases the work of art alumni who participated in this transformative program from 1995 to 2018. The exhibition was curated by students in Prof. Gregory Gilbert's course "Introduction to Art Museum Studies" Winter term 2022.
The Department of Art and Art History would like to invite you to the opening reception of the exhibition "Knox in New York: Three Decades of Alumni Art." The reception is at 6:30 pm, Friday, May 13th, Borzello Gallery, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. Refreshments will be served.
