Want to talk about music? Advertise your radio show? Have old art sitting around? Want to make some new art? WVKC is making our very first digital zine and we want your help to fill it!

What is a zine?

An independent publication usually made by just one person, drawn, collaged, or typed up, then scanned and redistributed to anyone and everyone! It’s a cheap way to get out information about what is important to you without worrying about publishing.

Zines can be palm sized, notebook sized, and everything in-between.

A lot of the appeal of zines is the organic, personal feeling, so don’t worry about it looking polished or professional!

Our zine:

WVKC wants YOUR art and writing about music! Talk about a radio show you’ve had, make up a poster for it, or write a couple sentences about your favorite genre. Write out a playlist! Draw your famous musician alter ego. Send in some fan art (PG please)! Let your imagination go wild, and then scan or photograph it and submit it online.

We will be compiling all entries into a digital zine that you can flip through on our website :)

Try to keep it to 2 or 3 pages per person?
