David Fludd earned a B.A. from Morehouse College in 1987 and an M.F.A. from Yale University in 1991. In addition, he has studied printmaking at New York University and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Fludd has been an Artist-in-Residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem, Yaddo, and the Kansas City Art Institute (among others) and has been selected as both a Rome Award Scholar and a Guggenheim Fellow. His work has been exhibited widely in galleries and institutions and is represented in private and public collections including the Studio Museum in Harlem and The Walter O. Evans Collection of African American Art. He currently lives in New York City.
