Monica Rezman: Shapes of a Premonition Oct 6

Monica Rezman uses painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and textiles, to explore intimacy through the representation of hair and everyday materials such as cardboard. She studied fine art and textile design at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Instituto Allende in Mexico, classical drawing and painting in Italy and The School of Representational Art in Chicago. Rezman's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including Governor's State University Gallery, South Bend Regional Museum of Art and the Chicago Cultural Center. Her most recent exhibit was at 65 Grand, in Chicago. She has been an Artist-In-Residence in Gujurat India, Field/Works, Chicago Artist Coalition and the Hyde Park Arts Center Bridge Program. Her work has been reviewed by Hyperallergic, Alan Artner (Chicago Tribune), and New City. A video talk by the artist will be made available at a later date.
