Five reviewers representing Knox College's accrediting agency, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), will visit campus, talking with faculty, staff, and students. This is a part of our comprehensive reaccreditation process, which takes place every ten years. Accreditation is a quality certification that is required for the College to offer recognized and authorized degrees.
In preparation for this visit, we submitted a detailed document to the HLC (the Assurance Argument) at the end of December. The review team, which is made up of faculty and administrators at other colleges and universities, has been studying our Argument so that they have a solid understanding of Knox College. This document addresses five HLC criteria that represent standards that all accredited institutions of higher education must meet. You can read our Argument here.
While the HLC team is here, they will hold three forums focusing on the criteria. They are open to all faculty, staff, and students. The forums are your opportunity to share your thoughts about Knox’s strengths and challenges with the reviewers.
