Dan Devening is an artist, curator and educator based in Chicago. Devening has shown his installations, paintings and works on paper most recently at Geary Contemporary (NY); Fernway, LVL3 and 65Grand (Chicago); galerie oqbo, dok25a and Groelle pass:projects (Germany); Hagiwara Projects (Japan), The Museum for Drawing (Belgium) and Peana (Mexico) among others.

Devening is the founding director of Devening Projects, a contemporary art gallery established in 2007. He is currently Full Professor, Adj. in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
