November 13 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Hard Knox Cafe
This event is open to the public.
Diversity Dinner is a collaborative effort between the Student Senate Diversity Committee and Knox College Dining Services. The project will involve cultural student organizations to make meals from their respective regions of the world and the meal will be included on the cafeteria dinner menu for the scheduled day. Through this, we hope that participants will be able to share their culture with us and at the same time have access to food from home. A big thank you to the efforts of Doug Stenfeldt for allowing us to partner with him and bring this project to reality. We hope to have a couple of this every term with a different menu option each time.
The first edition of the project will be kicked off by a Miso Soup prepared by Senior Melody English. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese staple that supplements any meal. It is usually eaten with rice, eggs, fish, and pickles. The soup can be served simply or completed with more complex garnishes for lunch or dinner.
