The main focus of M.E.Ch.A is to promote student activism for higher education, culture, the history of Chicanos and solidarity with other groups of the minority. We strive to broaden the understanding of the Knox community by hosting events that incorporate Mexican culture, history and bring attention to the struggles that affect us as a minority.

In addition, as a chapter of a national organization, we aim to bring attention to political issues affecting minority students on our campus and campuses throughout the nation. We welcome anyone to our events and meetings who are interested in learning more about M.E.ChA or becoming an active member.
