Hello! My name is Ibrahim Sakrani. I'd love to talk with you about my Knox experience.

How I chose my major:
My whole life, I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and learning about them. The summer before I came to Knox, my mom and I took a cross-country road trip where I was able to see wolves (one of my favorite animals) in the wild. Seeing them thrive in their natural habitat inspired me. With the current anthropogenic changes our planet is facing, I feel it is extremely important to increase biodiversity and reduce human-wildlife conflicts. I would like to focus on conservation after graduating from Knox.

The Knox professor with whom you should absolutely take a class:
Stuart Allison. He makes every day interesting and takes his students on field trips in nearly every class he teaches. He genuinely cares about making sure his students are learning and enjoying what they are doing.

The Knox class I never expected to love:
Human Origins. I took it my first year at Knox. It was interesting learning how and where humans as a species originated, and how we’ve become so annoyingly good at ruling the world.

The best thing I’ve done since coming to Knox:
The friendships I’ve made through choir and Ultimate have been the best part of my experience by far: Creating music with great people and being part of a welcoming and wholesome group of Frisbee players.
